2015 Annapolis Running Classic

Whew, what a great run! I can see my improvement over the last two weeks. This race I averaged a 9:12/mi pace where as the last race was 9:30/mi – That’s noticable! Unfortunately, this race was not exactly 10K (6.2mi) but instead 6.6mi! Now I know that doesn’t sound like much, and in reality, it’s not, but let me put this into comparison… Imagine you’re already at your maximum performance and you’ve paced yourself perfectly to put out maximum power over the entire 10k. We also know that the distance around a track at the high school is 1/4 mile. Now imagine having to run nearly two more loops around that track AFTER you’ve already reached your max. WHEW! That last part was definitely anaerobic.
